Freedom Riders Meet Mob in Montgomery

Angry white people surround a bus at Montgomery's Greyhound station. Freedom Riders on board are terrified. The last two Freedom Busses met mobs like this. One was firebombed. Fearing violence, JFK and RFK asked Freedom Riders last month not to board those busses. But the riders rode, forcing the law to follow if they got hurt. So now they breathe deep and open the doors.
